The course, designed by Des Smyth and Associates, meanders over undulating, sand-based terrain and provides firm footing for the golfer throughout the year. Des has made excellent use of the landscape and this provides for some spectacular second shots, particularly on the front nine holes. The course is built on part of the Croker Estate, the ancestral home of the notorious "Boss" Croker of New York’s Tammany Hall.
